Lab148: Self-Hosted AI Workshops

Eastern Bloc and Lab148 are excited to announce the continuation of the self-hosted AI workshops - now with some new additions! Building on the success of our individual workshops, we are now offering two themed series for a more focused learning experience.

Series 1: Visuals + Interactivity

The first series of workshops developed by Lab148 invites you to explore self-hosted AI and open-source tools for visual processing. How can you generate images and animations from your own files, without an internet connection or commercial services? How can you detect objects and people in a live video stream? Discover open source tools like ComfyUI, LoRAs, and YOLO to create and process your visuals independently.

The 3 workshops:

1️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜 | September 23 → Learn the command line to use open-source software from the source code

2️⃣ 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 + 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀 | September 24  →  Generate visuals with ComfyUI and LoRAs

3️⃣ 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 | September 25 → Live visual detection with YOLO

Series 1: Sound + Speech

The second training series by Lab148 invites you to explore self-hosted AI and open-source tools for sound and speech. Learn to generate and process audio, speech, and text using your own files and voice - without relying on the internet or commercial services. Tools include Audio Diffusion, RAVE, Flucoma, Zonos, Whisper, and ComfyUI-LatentSync, offering multiple approaches to sound and speech generation and processing.

The 3 workshops:

1️⃣ 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗜 | September 30 → Learn to use the command line to run open-source software directly from its source code

2️⃣ 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 | October 1 → Use Audio Diffusion, RAVE and FluCoMa, to create and process sounds

3️⃣ 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 | October 2 → Process text and recordings with Zonos, Whisper, and ComfyUI-LatentSync and create animated video portraits synced with audio
